Name: Holly

Age: 35

Sober Since: 02 / 17 / 2012

Sober For: 12 Years & 69 Days

What it was like?

It was a recurring bad dream that you never remember the next day. It was like drowning in an empty pool.

What happened?

Couldn't stop once I started. Couldn't remember anything. I started a new job & was missing work from being hungover. I didnt want to lose my job & had gone a week without drinking, next I knew I was coming up on a year & just kept going.

What it is like now?

Honestly it is still a struggle but only when im very upset about something. I love being sober & how proud I've made myself & my family. I dont ever want to be that way again.
