About Us
Founded 7 years ago, SoberNation.com was created as a go-to resource for those struggling with addiction and substance abuse related disorders. Our goal is to offer our users the ability to find the best rehab for them.
We started as a simple blog and since then have expanded greatly into a daily source for addiction news, a platform to share your sober date and experience, a video aggregator, a college recovery directory, a directory for those seeking rehab and much more.
How can I write for Sober Nation?
If you wish to write for Sober Nation please visit this page and fill out the application.
What centers may be listed on SoberNation.com?
We will list any medical detoxification facility that treats substance abuse as long as it has the proper certifications to operate legally. However, if we find out that any detox centers are operating unethically, we reserve the right to remove their listing with no prior notice. We wish to foster a safe environment for those afflicted with this chronic condition to find the help they seek. Additionally, we do not accept any payment for listings.
What if a center on SoberNation.com has shut down, changed names, etc.?
If you have updated information for any of the facilities listed on our site, please reach out to us using the form on our contact page and let us know. We will follow up on each request thoroughly and do our best to update any outdated information.
What is the “hotline” phone number and who answers it?
The phone number that appears on the top of the navigation bar and elsewhere in the site is a sponsored hotline that is answered by treatment centers or providers which we have vetted and have the utmost confidence in their ability to provide quality addiction treatment.
The sponsored hotline may be answered by one of the following providers depending on time of day and location, however whoever is answering will always be stated along with the phone number:
Am I obligated to call this number if I use SoberNation.com ?
Absolutely not! We want to provide you with the easiest way to geographically connect you with a rehab center you are seeking. The sponsored number is there for the individual who wishes to talk to someone immediately. If you do call that number, you are under no obligation to go to a rehab center that the sponsor recommends. We support everyone to recover from addiction in the path of their choosing.
What other numbers can I call other than the hotline?
All phone numbers of all facilities are clearly marked and are direct lines to each respective facility.
I’d like to review a treatment center that I or a loved one has been to before. How do I do so?
We are in the process of implementing this feature and will update once we have done so.
If I am a treatment provider, can I advertise on SoberNation.com?
You can reach out to us by sending a message through our contact page or by emailing tim@sobernation.com.
