I drank for 40 years, falling further every day down a crevice I could not climb out of. I was broken, lonely and very sad in the end.

In desperation, I started praying to a God I did not understand or trust. One morning, about 2 years later, I had a spiritual awakening. God spoke to me! God said to me “ your problem is already solved, now go out and live!” My obsession for alcohol vanished that morning.

I am happy, joyful and free as long as I maintain my spiritual condition, which includes being an active member of AA.
