What it was like?

Growing up was nice. I had a great family who loved me, but we did have it rough. My family didn't have much money and my parents worked all the time. Since I can remember I have carried this strange feeling around with me. It made if difficult to feel comfortable with myself and around other people. I always experimented with drugs and always was rebellious, but when I found opiates my ife changed. I quickly spiraled downhill.

What happened?

My mother was very sick, she was probably going to die. I wasn't able to be there for her in the way that I wanted to. I felt ashamed and I felt like I let her down. A few days later I had a talk with my family and I went to treatment.

What it is like now?

It was hard at first, but over time I kept getting stronger and stronger. Now every day, I get to work on this amazing website, I get to meet new people and I get to help people build amazing lives. I am so grateful for where I am at.
