It was awful. I was living a life I promised myself I would never live.

I started blacking out and not remembering awful things I’d say to my husband. But when I heard my daughter say “But mommy you promised”, it reminded me of how many times I said that as a child to my father. That was it for me. I never wanted to hear those words again.

It’s been 20 years and I can honestly say I’m done with drinking. I broke the cycle and feel so blessed.
