What it was like?
I drank every day. Not all day, most days I’d wait till 5pm or a bit later. But I would drink by myself, more often than not I’d be hungover the next day only to do it all over again. I’d try cutting back, only drinking on the weekends, Dry January, not drinking alone. But then there I’d be drinking at home alone every night after work or just because.
What happened?
I got to the point I didn’t enjoy it anymore. I had to have a drink but I didn’t really want to be drunk anymore. Until I got there again. Or blacked out. Or lost a whole day to a horrible hangover.
What it is like now?
It’s amazing! I don’t crave it for the most part and when I do it’s only a tiny bit and I just remember how much happier I am without it. I’m so much more healthy, and committed to my health and well-being. I’m done with it. For good!
