What it was like?

It was the worst 20 plus years of my life. I lost EVERYTHING and my life was about over. Drinking since I was 15 and doing cocaine since I was 20. I wanted to end my life.

What happened?

I stopped caring and never had hope or purpose to go on with life. I was divorced, lost my job, and almost lost my family and friends. Life had no meaning. I was caught up in the thrills of addiction. I walked out of treatment homeless for a month! Life had to turn around, and it did.

What it is like now?

Today, I'm two years back in school working towards my associates degree. Just earned a top scholarship to a school to further my education towards my bachelors and masters. I started and run recovery programs for college students on campuses. I'm the VP of a foundation for Suicide and mental health prevention. Work for a marketing firm. But most of all, my family, friends, and support are all back in my life. 2 years and 4 months sober, it's the most time I've had since I wad 15 years old. I dedicate my life and my story to help someone else.
