Quitting drinking was something I always said hungover because I knew I overdid it. But this time I meant it.

I woke up the day after celebrating my birthday to what would be the last time of blacking out and pretending like it was normal to do that.

Today I’m 5 years sober and not only is my memory incredible but I value being present in my life so much more. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without meditation, writing and the power of prayer.
