Brown University is committed to the maintenance of a campus environment that supports all students in achieving their academic goals. To that end, the University dedicates resources to support students in recovery from chemical dependency and to assist all students who are negatively affected by their own or others' substance abuse. The Dean of the College office and the division of Campus Life provide overlapping services to students with substance use disorders, to develop campus policies regarding alcohol and other drugs, and to educate all members of the campus community about alcohol and drugs and their effects.
