Name: Stephen

Age: 61

Sober Since: 05 / 12 / 2000

Sober For: 23 Years & 354 Days

What it was like?

Life was hopeless. All I knew how to do was get, and stay wasted.

What happened?

I listened to someone I did not have to. I took something on faith I knew absolutely nothing about— getting clean and sober.

What it is like now?

Nearly 20 years on, I have just been awarded a Masters Degree in Psychology and Addiction Counseling. I am preparing to enter a Doctorate Programme in Education and Organizational Psychology. All because I choose sobriety, one day at a time!
