01 What it was like
It was chaos, I was always seeking for something destructive. Every time I drank I would get violent and get into fights whether it was with my friends, family or strangers. I thought Drinking and driving was cool, this got me into lots of trouble by totaling a few cars and run in with the law.My addiction progressed quickly from just weed and alcohol to much harder and stronger drugs in a short space of time
It was chaos, I was always seeking for something destructive.
02 What happened
The drugs had just stopped working, whatever I would take would just make more depressed and unhappy. I became so unhappy after a bender and having a car accident I wanted to end my life. Thank G-D for a intervention it never happened. I Had heard of easier and softer way to a better life. I wanted it and I went into a treatment that taught me about the 12 steps.
03 What it is like now
I followed all the suggestions and did all the steps . I learnt how to deal with my feelings and situations and not to use drugs to numb my feelings. My life slowly turned round and I became a productive, responsible member of society. now days I always play the movie through I know I cannot have 1 drink or 1 drug . the disease is a progressive illness and my addiction will carry on where it left off. JFT i will not pick up
