01 What it was like
I was going through severe depression after a breakup and was drinking way out of control. I stopped caring about myself and all I wanted to do was drink until I couldn't feel anymore.
I was going through severe depression after a breakup and was drinking way out of control.
02 What happened
I blew through my savings and every check I got to buy booze. I got pulled over 1 night after drinking all day and got my 2nd dui. I knew from that point that I was done drinking.
03 What it is like now
As most addicts can relate, I stopped drinking, that's when all the feelings and thoughts come out and play. Before I could drink them away, now I'm sober dealing with them but that's the key word, sober! I struggle everyday with depression but its getting better and I'm still sober with no thoughts or intentions on drinking again. I lost everything that I loved to booze, and I'm damned sure not going to let it take anymore from me.
