What it was like?

Life was miserable and dark. I hated myself and was spiralling out of control. Too many black-outs and not knowing what I did the night before. My husband and children were suffering due to my behaviour.

What happened?

I went to rehab and reveived some tools. My sober journey began 13 years ago. I regularly went to AA meetings and received much support there. The sober journery was hard but it is SO worth it.

What it is like now?

I now run a support group at my local church for about 7 years. It's incredible to see how lives are being changed for the better. My life is much clearer and happier now. My husband has his wife back and kids have their mother back.
