Name: Diana

Age: 57

Sober Since: 12 / 28 / 2000

Sober For: 23 Years & 117 Days

What it was like?

I was a social drinker at first, then I crossed that line into chronic. Once I took that first sip of alcohol, I couldn’t stop drinking. It wasn’t fun at all anymore. Alcohol is cunning, baffling and powerful.

What happened?

I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. So I decided to save my life and checked myself into rehab. I had a significant spiritual awakening during that time that changed my life forever.

What it is like now?

I bring my Higher Power everywhere I go. I believe in Miracles because I am one. My life is amazing, it’s not perfect, but my worst day sober is far better than any day drinking. I am a successful artist today following my dreams.
