Sober For: 6 Years & 329 Days

What it was like?

Everyday was a fighting battle with my addiction. I spent nearly 19 years focusing on the parties and getting wasted. My life was consumed of nothing but lost memories because I was too drunk to remember anything.

What happened?

After splitting from my ex because of my addiction I knew I had to do something to better myself. At that point I finally chose to face the facts that I couldn't drink responsibly like normal people and that I had to either change and become sober or I could continue to live on the roller coaster life style that I had been living. So, I chose the high road to stay sober.

What it is like now?

Life is amazing now. I have just over 3 1/2 years sober and I wouldn't change a thing. All my feelings and emotions came back after drinking and now I can finally be the person I was always trying to be.
