What it was like?

"I was the walking dead". I was broke mentally, physically and spiritually to a point where suicide was and option. Abandon houses, jails and different treatment programs.

What happened?

I had enough, I tried everything but a higher power (GOD). Here I am 20 years later I'm so humble and thankful. Now I know that there is no instant gratification in recovery, and if you don't take care of your issues, your issues will take care of you..

What it is like now?

I'm no longer a junkie. I can smile now, I'm not on parole or probation, I don't have to worry about getting a gate shot. The best part of my recovery is I'm a man that understands that there is no short cuts in life, and if I do try to take a short cut my life will be cut short. I'm grateful.. Prayer works, I am proof..
