Hopelessness was a constant, always avoiding the reality of my life and coping with drugs and alcohol. Lived in self-pity and loathing

Overdosed on a cocktail of drugs while driving in April of 2018, subsequently was hospitalized a week later for DTs from withdraw of Xanax and alcohol, which was a week plus of a bottom

What it is like now?

Today I’m grateful for the opportunity to experience whatever life has in store. I am optimistic about my future and am forever thankful to God for the 2nd chance.
