About Community Healing Centers
We have a long, rich history in Southwest Michigan. In 2004, the former Guidance Clinic and the former MAPS merged, and in the summer of 2005 we held celebrations to announce our new umbrella name: The Community Healing Centers. This merger accomplished several key goals, including strengthening services to children and families, and expanding our capacity to provide recovery services for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. Since becoming Community Healing Centers, we’ve served over 50,000 people, meeting the mental health and addiction and recovery needs of children, individuals, and families here in Southwest Michigan.
