Newcomer

Designed for people in their first days or weeks. The format usually covers the basics of the program and how meetings work.

Discussion

A chair introduces a topic and members take turns sharing. This is the most common meeting format.

Open

Open meetings welcome anyone — family, friends, students, and people who are simply curious — not only those with a drinking or drug problem.

Speaker

One or more members share their story at length. Speaker meetings are a good fit if you would rather listen than talk.

Wheelchair Access

The venue is reported as wheelchair accessible by the listing group. Call ahead if you need to confirm details like ramps or restrooms.

Notes from the Group

At this point it is a speaker and participation meeting with a 20 minute lead with the balance free for open sharing. We emphasize and encourage all sharing focus on how the 12 Steps work in our lives and what actions we can take to help others. There is a great core group of long time MA members.
