Big Book

The group reads from and discusses the book Alcoholics Anonymous (the "Big Book").

Newcomer

Designed for people in their first days or weeks. The format usually covers the basics of the program and how meetings work.

Discussion

A chair introduces a topic and members take turns sharing. This is the most common meeting format.

Open

Open meetings welcome anyone — family, friends, students, and people who are simply curious — not only those with a drinking or drug problem.

Notes from the Group

This meeting format will begin within 5 mins of the start time, with small fellowship at the top of the hour. During the meeting, we read various 12-Step literature from multiple 12-Step fellowships, not exclusive to only Marijuana Anonymous literature. Please be aware that this meeting may run longer, as the meeting continues until everyone who wants to share has had a chance to share. A few things unique about our format: we do not place time limits on sharing, there are no sobriety requirements for sharing, cross-talk is allowed, and encouraged to help the addict who still suffers.
