- The group reads from and discusses the book Alcoholics Anonymous (the "Big Book").
- Discussion
- A chair introduces a topic and members take turns sharing. This is the most common meeting format.
- Open
- Open meetings welcome anyone — family, friends, students, and people who are simply curious — not only those with a drinking or drug problem.
- Speaker
- One or more members share their story at length. Speaker meetings are a good fit if you would rather listen than talk.
Notes from the Group
Format rotates monthly: Speaker Meeting with Topic Discussion, Step & Tradition Study, Full-Hour Speaker Meeting, and Story Study. Chips and business meeting held the 2nd Friday of the month.
