- The group reads from and discusses the book Alcoholics Anonymous (the "Big Book").
- Closed
- Closed meetings are limited to people who have a desire to stop drinking or using. If you are not sure whether you qualify, an open meeting is the usual first stop.
- Discussion
- A chair introduces a topic and members take turns sharing. This is the most common meeting format.
- Step Study
- The meeting works through the Twelve Steps, often using the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions or a step working guide.
- Women
- Attendance is limited to women. Many groups welcome anyone who identifies as a woman; check with the group if you are unsure.
Notes from the Group
Go to Hope Church on W. Davis Street, turn onto Harriet Drive. It’s the first house on the right (red brick) – next to the church playground area. Use the church parking lot to park which can be reached by driving past the house – turning right as if going into the school, then turn right again into the lot.
