- Closed meetings are limited to people who have a desire to stop drinking or using. If you are not sure whether you qualify, an open meeting is the usual first stop.

- Hosted by and for LGBTQ+ members. Most are open to allies; the group listing will say if attendance is restricted.
- Men
- Attendance is limited to men.
- Speaker
- One or more members share their story at length. Speaker meetings are a good fit if you would rather listen than talk.
- Step Study
- The meeting works through the Twelve Steps, often using the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions or a step working guide.
- Tradition Study
- Studies the Twelve Traditions.
