Meeting Format
- Discussion
- Newcomer
- Open
- Speaker
- Discussion
- A chair introduces a topic and members take turns sharing. This is the most common meeting format.
- Newcomer
- Designed for people in their first days or weeks. The format usually covers the basics of the program and how meetings work.
- Open
- Open meetings welcome anyone — family, friends, students, and people who are simply curious — not only those with a drinking or drug problem.
- Speaker
- One or more members share their story at length. Speaker meetings are a good fit if you would rather listen than talk.
Notes from the Group
Speaker leads meeting for first 20 minutes followed by open discussion. Last Wednesday of the month is a full speaker meeting with birthday celebration.
