Meeting Format
- Discussion
- Open
- Speaker
- Discussion
- A chair introduces a topic and members take turns sharing. This is the most common meeting format.
- Open
- Open meetings welcome anyone — family, friends, students, and people who are simply curious — not only those with a drinking or drug problem.
- Speaker
- One or more members share their story at length. Speaker meetings are a good fit if you would rather listen than talk.
Notes from the Group
Hybrid meeting - we're meeting both in-person and also on Zoom. 1st or 2nd Friday is a Speaker meeting. Directions: Go to 200 E. King St., Hillsborough, NC, which is the entrance to the Orange County Board of Education, go to back of parking lot, turn left and enter the next parking area and the meeting is in the white building that you see while entering that parking lot - Parrish House.
