Kids are now smoking BED BUGS to get high.

In their latest effort to find a cheap high that doesn’t require the purchase of any actual drugs, teens have discovered a way to smoke bed bugs. Yes, BED BUGS. The things that normal people hate even thinking about. The little critters that plague hotels and give guests nasty rashes. Yes, those very same bed bugs.

Apparently, the insects contain a hallucinogenic substance within them, except it’s impossible to isolate it, so the bugs have to be caught, killed and crushed into a powder, which is then either smoked or, perhaps even worse and more disgusting, injected. How did they even think of this?!

Unfortunately, not only is the very idea of this cringe-worthy, but the bugs also contain other elements that can cause serious damage to the mind and body, so smoking them can be extremely dangerous. Like you didn’t already know that.

In case most people didn’t realize by now, this story was a hoax. We reported it when we heard about it, and I assure you we were just as shocked as you. Last night we found out it was a hoax through this article.

However, this story was just a hoax, an April Fool’s Day prank based on an altered version of a real KNXV-TV report from several months earlier on the dangers of “dabbing” (i.e., inhaling butane-extracted hash oil, also known as BHO):

We wanted to just make a statement because after reading the comments, people seemed generally alarmed by at. The truth is, there might actually be someone who reads this and decides it’s a good idea to smoke bed bugs. As ridiculous as that may sound, we don’t want to contribute to that. We left the story up because people seem to enjoy laughing about it. We just wanted to come forth and make a claim on the event.

Remember… stay away from gateway bugs.

    This video is fake. If you google kids smoking bed bugs you will find that the individual that was interviews is actually talking about hash oil which kids are using to get hight. It’s called dabbing among other things.

    The advantage is that it would be impossible to pass a law making possession of bedbugs illegal. Most people who have bedbugs did not get them deliberately and don’t want them.

    clearly you didn’t check your sources. this was an april fools day joke that the station did. they redid a story about dabbing but changed it to bed bugs. other news stations picked up the story (obviously without fact checking) and began reporting on it. this is the perfect example of why we should not trust the media and news stations.

    For those of you who are thinking ya….. I want to smoke or shoot some bed bug( even saying it makes me shiver) “They are able to be infected by at least 28 human pathogens” and the fact you are smoking or shooting someones blood, yes this is what they eat… so lets kinda sum it up smoke a bug with 28 pathogens, human blood, feces, I just dont understand.. how, under what circumstance does something like this happen…

    I’ve been using bed bugs daily for the last few years. Please don’t start this habit. I can’t go more than two hours without starting to go through withdrawls. It never made me hallucinate, just feel really really good. It was better than heroin and I even got off heroin because I didn’t have any money for the habit and the bed bugs were common. I used to break into hotels to get my fix but another bed bug addict suggested I just buy a bunch of sheets and bedding and transport a few bugs there. So now I have a whole stash colony that I get high from.

    I am shooting them up lately cuz it gets me higher but I first started smoking it. Kind of like my heroin habit went. Anyway, please everyone who reads this–Don’t use Bed Bugs!

    I find that snorting the bed bugs is the best way to do it. I also like to crush up ticks and stinkbugs and smoke them. I get quite a euphoric feeling from the combination of the three.

    What I find even more amusing than people who thought this was real are the individuals who post its a hoax and a link right after 5 other people already posted it. So by the way if the 30 other people didnt make it clear its a hoax, and if you missed this I’m sure someone after me who will try to look like they are super intelligent will also tell us it’s a hoax. It’s done and over now people we know it’s a hoax move along.

    All I can say about kids today is look at idiocracy. The movie and that is almost the future I can see for our children. It is so very so even though this is not real what are children’s minds are like today and It scares me to think if children seen this post if they actually went out trying bedbugs as a new stupid drug.
