What it was like?

A living Hell, I was an alcoholic and addict for over 30 years. I was a Bad Father and Husband which led to divorce. I went to the very bottom in May 2006 when I tried to commit suicide.

What happened?

I joined the Military and started drinking and doing prescription drugs at 17. I have a lot of Military injuries and I have had over 30 surgeries. It was very easy to get prescription drugs as Military and VA Doctors would pretty much give you what you wanted. There was a party every week also, so beer an liquor were easily accessible, even if you were under age.

What it is like now?

I'm so grateful now,I still have chronic pain and now I have an Autoimmune Disease,Sarcoidosis, which affects the lymph nodes in my lungs. I developed this from working in Water/Waste Water Treatment for 30 years. I am still alive by the Grace of God and my Renewed Faith in Jesus Christ.
