Jay wasn’t your typical 9 year old. He was an athlete with a bright future but was also starting to develop habits like stealing and smoking cigarettes.
By the time Jay turned 15 he had stopped playing sports altogether and was using drugs daily.
After reaching out for help in November 2005, Jay walked into rehab. Two weeks later he started attending a 12-step program, got a sponsor, and began to get involved.
It wasn’t long before Jay reconnected with his inner athlete and discovered Muay Thai, Crossfit, and Bodybuilding.

Today Jay has over 14 years of sobriety and has built his fitness Instagram account up to over 700,000 followers.
