Ho-Ho-Holy Crap!

Happy Friday, Nation!

It’s hard to believe the holidays are upon us once again! This year I will be staying in sunny Florida basking in the warm sun. Each year, a group of us go back to the treatment center we went to and cook the current patients breakfast. It’s always a great time and there may or may not be karaoke involved. The kitchen is usually left a mess but our stomachs are never left empty.

Ultimately, my sobriety has been one of the best gifts for my family as well as myself. My wish for you is that you are able to cherish the memories you’ve had with loved ones and make even more. Come Christmas morning, I hope you take some time to give more than receive, have a deep belly laugh, give a giant hug, and have a child-like spirit.

I hope that you get a chance to think about where you could be, or maybe where you once were. Today, we are the lucky ones. Unfortunately, there are still many people out there still struggling. There are many family members wishing they could hold their loved ones close. If you are one of those people, I pray you may soon hit your bottom only to get the help you need – God know’s someone was out there praying for me.

I am grateful for each and every one of you.

Merry Christmas!
