Don’t Let The Tryptophan Get To You – Stay Grateful

11/17/17

Happy Friday, Nation!

As the week comes to a close, I am so glad that the weekend is here! Have you started prepping for Thanksgiving yet?

This will be our last newsletter until the Tryptophan from the turkey hits us and Thanksgiving is said and done! I’ll be flying up to Boston next week to surprise my best friend and I will definitely be missing the Florida sunshine. (Let’s just please take a moment and pray he’s not reading this)

This time of year I see most of human-kind either in a flurry from preparing food and shopping lists for black Friday. (Let’s just call it what it is, which is a holiday itself). Or, they’re a tizzy full of anxiety in preparation to see family. But, some of them are nostalgically reminiscing of the past year and how grateful they are. Don’t get me wrong, some of these people can be a combination of all three, but I happen to (attempt) take part in just the latter.

Gratitude can be so simple, yet can change our whole lives around. It can turn a terrible day into a good day and a good day into an even better one. But, even as we sit around the table with loved ones and our hearts are filled with joy, we must remember that gratitude it is something that can be practiced year round.

What are you grateful for today? How can you practice this, not only in the third week of November, but every week of the year?

Happy Thanksgiving, SoberNation! We are grateful for each and every one of you!

We’ve got some great stuff for you this week! Have a safe and sober holiday!
